Google Stadia: op deze smartphones is de gamedienst beschikbaar

Google’s cloud based gaming service ‘Google Stadia’ laat je games spelen op vrijwel ieder scherm dat je hebt. We zeggen ‘vrijwel’ ieder scherm, omdat de service niet beschikbaar is op iedere smartphone.

De meeste high-end Android smartphones ondersteunen de gaming service wel. Daarnaast is er nog een enorme lijst met smartphones waarop je gebruik kunt maken van Google Stadia. Benieuwd of jouw smartphone Google Stadia ondersteunt?

Compatibel Android smartphones

Hieronder staan de Android smartphones die compatibel zijn op een rij. De service werkt in ieder geval zolang je toestel draait op Android 6.0 Marshmallow of hoger. Zo niet, dan is je toestel hoe dan ook toe aan een software update. Google heeft een lijst ontwikkeld met daarop alle Android smartphones die Stadia officieel ondersteunen.

Google Stadia op Google smartphones

Google Stadia is, uiteraard, beschikbaar op Google’s eigen smartphones. De gaming service is beschikbaar voor Google Pixel 2 en 2XL, tot Pixel 5 en 5a.

Is je smartphone niet compatibel met Google Stadia?

Zoals je in de lijst hierboven kunt zien is niet iedere high-end smartphone compatibel met Google’s gaming streaming service. Zo vallen bijvoorbeeld Moto’s G Power en Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 buiten de boot. Dat de smartphones niet ‘officieel’ compatibel zijn met de gaming service betekent niet dat de service niet werkt op deze toestellen.
